Symposium to spotlight 21st century learning

Though online education continues to gain popularity among educators at all levels, this form of 21st century learning is still relatively new.

The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) will host a Midwestern Regional Professional Development Symposium for individuals who wish to expand their knowledge of web-based education.

At the symposium, which is scheduled for April 4 at the Wyndham Milwaukee Airport and Convention Center in Wisconsin, experts in K-12 online education will share the best practices, latest research, trends and solutions for personalizing this modern teaching method to meet students' needs.

"This conference is designed to help K-12 education leaders in the Midwestern region understand important trends and new models for next generation learning," said Susan Patrick, president and CEO of iNACOL.

Patrick will also deliver the symposium's opening keynote - A National Perspective of Online Learning: New Trends and Initiatives - which will focus on web-based education trends across the country and around the world.

Individuals will also have the opportunity to attend 16 sessions that will focus on online learning and related issues, such as state policies on web-based and blended education.
