CCEI creates new credential while hitting a milestone
ChildCare Education Institute Online recently announced its students have reached a milestone having completed more than 600,000 professional development hours and more then 4,200 certificate programs online.
"CCEI continues to be a top provider in the early care industry for educating staff," said Maria C. Taylor, president and CEO of CCEI. "We're proud to provide high-quality, convenient, affordable education programs to educators and administrators as they work to provide a firm foundation for our nation's children."
Students at CCEI continue to have the opportunity to use competency-based, self-paced coursework, which allows them to take part in their certificate program in a flexible manner.
In its seventh year of professional development courses for those in the childcare industry, CCEI introduced a new credential called the Early Childhood Credential, which can help students gain an early childhood degree.
Another tool that teachers can use to further their professional development was recently created by the Teacher Leadership Exploratory Consortium with the launch of its website, www.teacherleaderstandards.org.
The website was created as a hub for teachers with information to help them improve learning for students.
